Residents of Ongata Rongai are a fearful lot after a pride of lions was spotted roaming freely.

The beasts were seen strolling in the Tuala area, past the African Nazarene University.

They are suspected of having strayed out Nairobi National Park in search of food. Later reports also claimed that the cats were also seen around the Karen C area in Nairobi.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Kenya Wildlife Society swiftly deployed a team to the area to contain the threat.

This is just one of the several cases where the King of the jungle slipped out of his habitat to inspect the extent of human civilization.
