Actor Charles Bukeko also known as Papa Shirandula is dead.
The TV star aged 58 died this (Saturday) morning at the Karen Hospital
Mr. Ronald Wanyama, the actor’s brother in law said that he was rushed to The Karen hospital after developing breathing complications
“He didn’t make it out of hospital after testing positive of COVID19”, Mr. Wanyama said
He is survived by a one wife Beatrice Ebbie Andega and three children, Wendy, Charlie and Tony.
Several local thespians have Eulogized Papa as a likable person who remained focused throughout his career
Senior politicians including the former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka have also sent over their condolences saying Mr. Charles Bukeko was indeed talented and that watching his shows was entertaining.
“I learned about Papa’s death with a lot of sadness … He was a talented actor whom I also enjoyed to watch”, said Hon. Kalonzo
In his statement, Mr. Ezekiel Mutua , the KFCB CEO also recognized Papa as one who had a significant impact on the entertainment industry.
“Rest in peace Papa Shirandula, you epitomized the joy and optimism of Kenyans“. he said
Mr. Bukeko fell ill last Sunday after returning from western province
