Peter Tabichi, the current world’s best teacher, has been appointed as the year 2020 Dettol Soaperhero Brand ambassador. Reacting to his lucrative appointment, Mr. Tabichi said he is very excited at the offer and will use the opportunity to equip the next generation.
“For me, teaching is a compelling job. I want to be part of the team that is building the next generation by helping our children to get valuable knowledge and skills. These students must be assisted in making a better future out of the current scary situation”.
He went to say that he will feel much honored to partner with other stakeholders to ensure that sanitation-related ailments are eradicated among school-going children.
The Dettol Soaperhero program is a school hygiene program that was started in August 2019 to help address the ailments that are related to sanitation among school-going children.
Mr. Tabichi, who teaches Mathematics and science at Keriko high school in Nakuru county, will advocate the cause for over 10 million schooling children across the country.

In March this year, Tabichi emerged as the winner of the Varkey Foundation’s Global Teacher Prize for his consistent efforts to empower students and the community around the school. He took home a coveted Ksh 100 million award.
Recently, Tabichi, alongside the Varkey Foundation chairman Vikas Pota visited President Donald Trump at the White House. He said the president was glad to meet him, and he genuinely appreciated his services as a teacher. Trump also congratulated him for scooping the 2019 Global Teacher award.
Currently Peter gives away 80% of his income towards developing his school and the surrounding community
