Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated “Cowboy Carter” tour with a bold and heartfelt performance that set the tone for what promises to be a record-shattering global run. The opening night began with a stirring rendition of “Ameriican Requiem,” followed by emotional covers of “Blackbiird” — her take on the Beatles classic — and the national anthem.
Dressed head-to-toe in white, complete with chaps and a signature cowboy hat, the music icon made a grand entrance after a choral performance by a group of singers clad in red, who built anticipation in the packed venue.
“Being back on this stage with all of you feels incredible,” Beyoncé told the roaring crowd. “To the legends who paved the way for me and to the fans who fuel my creativity — I thank you.”
From there, the energy soared with electrifying performances of “Freedom” and “Ya Ya,” showing Beyoncé’s unmatched ability to blend powerful vocals with dynamic stage presence.

A Tour to Remember
The Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour will span 32 stadiums across the United States and Europe, concluding in Las Vegas on July 26. It’s her first major tour since the 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which drew massive global crowds and reaffirmed her as a dominant force in the music industry.
This latest tour supports Beyoncé’s genre-defying album Cowboy Carter, released in March 2024. The 27-track record, infused with themes of heritage and country identity, became her first official foray into country music. It features an array of Black country trailblazers and new voices, making it both a musical statement and a cultural milestone.
Announced just ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards — where Beyoncé took home Album of the Year and Best Country Album — the album has already broken streaming records and expanded her legacy into new sonic territory.
Setting New Standards
As the first Black woman to top the Billboard Country chart, Beyoncé continues to push boundaries. Her upcoming shows are expected to set new benchmarks, including the most performances at SoFi Stadium by any artist.
“Cowboy Carter” marks the second act in what Beyoncé previously revealed to be a trilogy, following the success of her seventh studio album, Renaissance, which debuted in 2022. That album and its tour garnered her four more Grammy wins, helping her become the most awarded artist in Grammy history.
Now, with Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé blends American musical history with personal storytelling, all while continuing to inspire, innovate, and lead.
